Privacy policy

CarRuler has no accounts and no forms. We don't ask for your name or email, and we don't sell personal information we hold, because we hold almost none.

What happens in your browser

• Your settings: your unit choice (inches or centimeters) is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
• Tools: the garage, comparison and cost calculators run entirely in your browser. The sizes and miles you enter aren't sent to us.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't build a profile of you. Our host, Cloudflare, also processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

The site is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure them. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

• Choices: you can turn off personalized ads in Google's ad settings, or opt out of many ad networks at aboutads.info.
• Consent: visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads, through Google's consent message.
• US state privacy rights: where state law gives you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, you can do so through the privacy message Google shows on this site, by turning off personalized ads as above, or with a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.

Children

CarRuler is meant for adults shopping for cars and isn't directed at children under 13.
